From the trailers I have been exposed to previously, this was promoted as a high action movie starring 2 of the popular male artistes as leads which served as a big crowd attraction. As with such genre of movies, I wasn’t expecting very much from the story, but somehow it still fell short even after that lowering. Action sequences wise, I suppose the movie attempts to make up for its shortcomings with this department and it’s not too bad in this aspect.

The main plot of the story reminds me of a mixture of other movies, but I just couldn’t pinpoint exact titles even now. Perhaps this is due to the ‘formula’ used here is something that other movies have used before so in this department it really lacks the freshness to light up the audience’s eyes (or at least mine). The progress of the movie often seems like separate jumps from segment to segment when there is a need to have further development in the story and that feels kind of weird. The way things panned out were also fairly predictable so it became a habit to look out for action sequences which is probably the only ‘hope’ left for the movie.

There is a lot of action scenes in the movie, and at some instances a little rash and so called ‘unrefined’. Certain scenes are fairly exciting, but some are kind of obvious that they are edited from multiple takes to produce an entire smooth sequence. Not that I am against the practice of the latter, but it indeed kills that much excitement when you are able to tell rather easily. Ok, but I must say quite a bit of planning and permissions had to be done and obtained considering how many scenes that involved public areas in KL, which I thought would be not so easy to be done in the capital city.

Overall, not a particularly entertaining or exciting movie as it is has quite many shortcomings and having insufficient plus points to bring it back up. My take: 5.5/10
