I wasn’t really expecting a sequel for this parody-ish movie. So, one of the dorkiest (hmm, I can’t seem to find a more appropriate word with my limited vocabulary and current state of mind) is back once again in an attempt to tickle your funny bones.

It has been a few years since the first movie and the story tries to explain the gap, by creating some kind of reason for his missing in action, and why he’s now back in the limelight again. Well, the very reason for the disappearance is also going to be an important component of this story’s plot. As you might expect, the plot is not going to be that strong since I believe it’s not the selling point of the movie anyway.

It is pretty much relying on the “Mr Bean” agent to do some stupid things, act clumsy and of course somehow ending up getting the job done. Somehow, I felt the formula didn’t exactly work all that well this time round though it is quite clear which are the parts they really tried to add in the ‘lol’ factor. Sure, it was entertaining in its own way, but it wasn’t as entertaining as I had hoped it would be. Of course, I’m already mostly overlooking the plot developments which are often quite strangely paced and somewhat ‘jumpy’.

Somehow, I found the sequence shown during the credits to be one of the more entertaining segments of the movie even though it’s not exactly part of the main plot nor is it exceptionally hilarious or anything. Perhaps those types of sequences suit him better. I wonder if it was really done with only a single take without having to redo it. Haha.

Overall, it’s still watchable if you don’t go in with some kind of high expectation. Sit back, relax and just take the movie as it is and it should be not be too bad. My take: 6/10
