Japanese title: 学校じゃ教えられない!
Number of episodes: 10

Well, judging from the title which roughly means things that school don’t teach [hey I could be wrong], it’s not hard to imagine that the plot actually centres around relationships and stuff rather than the academic aspects of school life.

Anyway, looking at the synopsis of the show, Aida Mai-sensei [played by Fukuda Kyoko] starts a social dancing club to form 5 dancing pairs since the all-girls school now allow boys to enrol [which resulted in a mere 5 guys signing up for the school. Lol]. Well, sounds good to some of you? But in the end it’s really focused on the 5 pairs of couples made as dance partners in the club although they do spend some time on the guys’ excitement and all those at the beginning. Heh.

It turns out that many parts of the show seemed rather awkward and unnatural to me. I don’t really know how to put it in words but I guess one can easily see it just by watching an episode or two. Haha. But oh well, there are some messages (as always) in it, which can sometimes are not bad, but at times not really very convincing. Maybe it’s partly due to the involvement of many new actors and actresses who play an important role in the show and do have quite a lot of lines and acting to do. The more experienced members were generally doing their job better. Haha. Coincidence or not, I don’t know =P

For the comedy elements, it can be quite lame and funny but at times it’s just over-ly done and the end result is that it turns out really having the opposite. Haha, but oh well, it’s kind of expected from a show such as this. Haha. Oh, on a side note, there’s quite a few reference to Disney related movies and characters. Somehow, they could just reference to some Disney icon. Haha, something new to me.

Overall, this drama pretty much a really average jdrama, or perhaps even below average. Maybe that’s why the viewership ratings are as such. Lol, but oh well it did provide some good entertainment elements every now and then. Heh.
