Japanese resources such as these are hard to come by, even if many years have gone by. Oh, this is a DVD containing Street Fighter III 3rd Strike combos. I know you couldn’t really tell from the title nor the picture above, unless of course you know of this DVD product which I believe is some 5 years old or more.
It contains combos from every character in the game, including the boss and contains some very nice combos, though I would say most of them are strict conditional ones. I don’t exactly know about this group of people who formed the team behind this production, but it seems to me that tools assistance is probably used in the production for perfect execution of moves required. Much planning was obviously also done in terms of calculation of power gauge usage etc, which I think should be the bulk of the work and difficulty.
A pity is that the total footage is less than 40 minutes, which isn’t very long. But I guess they only wanted to include the best that they could offer for each character instead of stuffing for the sake of quantity. It’s probably better for players who are into this game as they can really see things that are new (which probably should be the case at the time of sale).
Overall, I think it is a pretty good collection of content, though as a non-technical player of 3rd Strike I could be wrong. Feel free to enlighten me in a nice manner should that be the case =)
Hope I can get my hands on more of these Japanese resources. It’s pretty impossible to get them outside Japan. Hic.
