High Hi Hai

Looks like the PSLE saga isn’t over. Apparently there’s an issue with the Chinese paper, but the authorities have already made a reply so I guess it’s no longer any form of news in that sense. Parents sure can find all sorts of things to complain about. Perhaps university students (not limited to this group. Just using as an example) should also start complaining about similar kind of past year questions start appearing in their current papers, because not everyone goes through past year papers (or whatever), so those who have attempted end up with an unfair advantage! Lol.

Well, though that might be the latest “hot” topic regarding PSLE, it seems that maths related Google searches haven’t really gone away yet, though it is on a decline since Monday. I don’t get it. Why are there still so many searches on it? Get over it and move on with life. For the students, let them unwind and relax for now since they’ve just finished a major national examination. What’s done is done, so just wait for results. I’m quite sure this year’s PSLE results will be pretty good too, at worst case is just a very slight dip over the previous year’s results in terms of distribution of good grades and percentage passes.

Thanks to these overly anxious people Googling every day, the view count I had since the start of this week (starting Monday) is nearly the highest this year so far. Lol. If only my blog had ads generating some kind of revenue for me. Would have been a great period. Lol~

Ok, apart from that, I’ve also been looking at possible module planning for the rest of my undergrad life. Not actually really going into the detailed planning now, but rather exploring the various possible options that I can have, especially those which are more critical i.e. under programme requirement. So many restrictions here there everywhere. I’ll also probably need to think of the kind of UE/breadth modules that I wanna clear. Still have quite a number of them to clear. So anyone with good modules to recommend can start dropping me suggestions from now and I’ll sit down and give them some serious thoughts probably at the end of the semester. (Note to self: need to store all these information somewhere so that I can refer to them later on.)

School work wise, I haven’t really been clearing much, at least not the bigger things which are well, bigger in terms of size of the task as well as the difficulty. Smaller things here and there are handled much better probably because it is easier to manage and it does feel good when you see the to-do list reducing seemingly at a decent speed. But it’s just a delusion. Heh. Will probably need to kick start my engine again very soon in order to meet deadlines which are arriving soon enough. Sigh. Really got to plan modules carefully in the future to hopefully achieve a better balance. Oh well.

Admittedly I’m not the busiest around, but it seems that sleeping well recently has become a non-given. Something is not very right again. Need to fix it asap. Sigh. Ok, enough of distractions and random typing here. Back to doing work, hopefully clearing something in the process.

p.s. I’m so gonna be a sinner this week. =X

You know what, even if you had ads and they don’t click on it, its probably not going to help! Unless, I dunno, put some educating related ads to lock in parents or something.

Anyway I thought the scoring is based on some aggregate percentile thingie across subjects. So every year there will be enough spread, whether there is absolute significant difference is another issue.

Btw dropping module suggestions here might inflate demand for it, so… you know. But you probably already know what to take. Even dom recommends it!

haha i doubt anyone would be dropping suggestions in this teeny weeny portal anyway =P

as for that mod… it really depends on luck really. not going to depend on it to fulfill my requirements but will probably grab it if it so happens to fit in nicely! >.<

Ads are not only paying based on clicks. There’s paying due to impressions, meaning how many time it loads. :)
