Into the 3rd Year

15 08 2009

Yeah well, a rather peaceful and relatively slow-paced school week has gone by. Partly due to the National Day holiday on Monday as well as the first lecture usually spends some time on clearing administrative stuff as well as clarifying some of the requirements and expectations of the module etc so content wise it isn’t all that heavy as I would expect in the weeks and months to come.

Had a taste of most of my modules except 2271 which surprisingly did not have a make up and doesn’t seem to have one seeing how labs and tutorials will also begin a week later for that module too. I wonder if it’s a good thing, or a bad thing to have that. Time will tell I guess.

For the rest of the modules I’ve been through so far, they are all level 3 modules and it’s my first time picking up a module at this level. Somehow, it does feel a little different, probably because of the focus of each module being somewhat different this time. I don’t really know how to put into words, but yeah I do feel some differences apart from the possible difficulty of the content. Hopefully, I will be able to handle and cope with the workload when things really start swarming in. Hic, shall not stress out myself too much so early in the semester so I’ll “take it easy” now. =P

And having not stepped into school prior to Tuesday since my final exams in the previous academic year, the campus did seem a little foreign to me when I first went back. Kind of lost touch with school but at least I can still make my way around pretty easily =P Not too forgetful yet I suppose =X There seems to be some additions here and there on campus. Things sure can change over the months. Lol

If anything, I suppose the best part of school is that I can get to meet up with people whom I otherwise would have a harder time trying to. I guess the people aspect of school is something that’s the most worth looking forward to. Or maybe it’s CCA for some, but I don’t have one anyway. =P

And yeah, this weekend is where most students get to ballot for their tutorials and pray that somehow they can get what they want so they are closer to the best possible timetable given their module combination. I know some people don’t need to ballot much, or even at all. Good for you. Haha. For now, I shall hope that my planning is a success though that would mean heavy days when I do actually have to go to school to attend lessons. =P

Oh well, I guess that kind of sums up what I want to say about the first week of school. I know some people are having better times than what I’m having right now. Good for you ;)

p.s. IVLE is lagging so bad it’s not funny. What a time to choose to have testing or whatnot that downs some of its services. Well done. “*thumbs up*”
