Yea, another mecha related anime. Not surprisingly, it eventually centres protecting Earth from invaders, this time the real baddies are from another dimension, where they have merged the human with machines to “evolve”. Not exactly an outstanding storyline, which isn’t unusual for anime of this genre.
It seems like this anime adaptation has differences with the manga, which still hasn’t ended yet. Not sure what changes there are besides the beginning in which the wiki article offers some plot which differs from the anime’s start in some ways. Not sure how it’ll affect the rest of the story. At least the functionalities of the various type of mecha are still in line, so you can give it a quick look if you’re interested to find out what kind of robots are featured in this series.
Besides having a pretty typical storyline, there are also quite a number of common traits seen throughout the show as to how some of the characters act or behave. Lol, I admit that’s a bit boring, or maybe because I’ve watched enough series to at least cover the stereotypes. Haha, yeah not exactly exciting for me except for a number of fight scenes which I thought were better. You can even make a guess at the ending. Heh.
The only thing is that it had a little bit of twist here and there when I was kind of expecting the story to go in a really, really predictable fashion. But those little twists aren’t really enough to give the show that many points anyway so it’s still pretty much a mediocre series overall. Go watch it if you want. =D
