Not surprisingly, the 2 people in the picture on the left are the “daughter” of Twenty Faces, and Twenty Faces himself. A short summary of the story is available at the wiki link, so I won’t really be talking much about it here.
As this story is set in the post world war, there isn’t really much high-tech stuff even though there’s a futuristic science element in it. Thus, it’s steered more towards people’s relationships, desires, emotions as well as bonds among them.
Actually to be honest, I felt that Twenty Faces took quite a lot of the screen time as well as the importance in the show, rather than the little girl, though I must agree that she plays a very important role too. But it’s like what she eventually is in the story is all thanks to Twenty Faces.
Another thing is that the scheming plot behind all these things took quite a while to be revealed. Though it gave time for characters to develop earlier on, a lack of something bigger in plot usually going to be lacking in the overall package. Oh well, at least it’s quite a smooth and peaceful watch. No particular recommendations on this one.
