Yeap, the sequel to one of the drama series I’ve watched not too long ago. This time, the cases presented are more of a standalone from one another, but sufficient time is still spent on each one to develop the mystery, the seemingly supernatural as well as solving of the tricks behind these occurrences. There isn’t really a main storyline so to speak, as the character development of both leads don’t seem to be very much, if at all. I wonder if that’s still the case in season 3, which I should also be watching some time in the future. =)

Once again, in this series, we get to see a variety of tricks, from simple card tricks and envelope tricks to the bigger scale tricks that are used in some of the cases. I suppose this aspect is the biggest drawing factor of the series, apart from the occasional funny and lame acts from some of the familiar characters we’ve also seen in its prequel.

It is also usually more enjoyable to finish 1 case in 1 shot, so there won’t be any of those feelings of wanting to know all the tricks behind the case. Of course, it is only possible now since the entire series is already out for some years now. Wouldn’t have been possible during the time of its airing. Must have kept viewers waiting while the weekly episodes take their turn to air. Lol, probably one of the good things to start a series late. =D

Overall, while the season did not really expand on the main characters of the show, the cases remain the biggest plus point for the show, and it’s still enjoyable to see all the different kind of tricks and cases they have in store. If you have enjoyed season 1, this will be an enjoyable experience too. =)

p.s. If I were to follow the chronological of the Trick series, the next one should be its first movie, followed by season 3, then the special episode and finally the 2nd movie. I probably would follow this sequence, so you can have a rough idea of what to expect.
