A movie that had more attention put on Edison Chen because of his you-know-what incidents and his “comeback” into the entertainment industry. Or at least that was what I perceived the media coverage to be. After all, I think those kind of news has more “value” than just the usual introduction of movie etc.
Anyway Richie Ren stars as a top sniper in the police force, and found the talent in Edison Chen’s character and enrolled him into the sniper school. Huang Xiaoming, on the other hand, plays the villain this time who used to be a sharpshooter on the team prior to his “misfire” that led to his jail term.
There are quite some scenes with all the long-range shooting and all. I mean, this is something that this movie should not have too little of since it’s like the central theme. There’s also some talk and explanations of some mechanics, things and stuff. Story wise, it is mainly about the rivalry (and hatred?) between Richie Ren and Huang Xiaoming (recently released from jail) that led to the tragic ending where casualties were high and all.
Lol, nothing much really, except you do get to see some action scenes here and there. Some topless males (which of course is not of any interest to me) while they undergo training. Otherwise, there’s really nothing else to be looking at for this show. Maybe that’s why reviews back then weren’t much good either. My take: 5.5/10
