I thought this show might be interesting. Apparently, I’m so very wrong, or at least it wasn’t to my liking. The story is about Earth having this D Project, as a form of counterplan against an impending asteroid that will eventually head for Earth and destroy it.
Turns out it’s not just the asteroid that is the problem, but also the Dragons from it. Though D Project involves Earth’s very own Dragons, they’re still pretty much weaker than the originals. Of course, there are also some original dragons who side with Earth, or rather does not want to see Earth being destroyed. If you want to know more about the story, try looking around the Net for more details.
One of the things that irked me was that the characters do have some big swings from time to time, be it mood or character wise. This makes the story go into some kind of frenzy roller coaster as well, making it hard to follow the story properly while trying to see where it’s heading for.
Artwork wise, I thought that some of the characters are just quite weirdly drawn. Shrugs, maybe it’s just me. Well, if it means anything, there’s quite a lot of CG used, especially when the dragons turn back into their actual form although it’s quite weird seeing a kind of robotic dragon when it’s supposed to be a living thing (I think). Hic.
If I am not wrong, there’s a 26th episode, that is DVD-only, but judging how the main series was already not to my liking, I don’t see how the DVD exclusive episode would be useful in correcting things anyway. If you’re interested you can go hunt for it yourself (aka don’t ask me about/for it).
Overall, I thought that this show was too much of a roller coaster ride that didn’t work out well. Hic, another wrong choice made =D
