Yep, from the picture, it’s pretty obvious that Abe Hiroshi will be the main lead for the show, which honestly is why I picked up this show. Of the shows that I’ve watched with him having a significant role in it, he has always done a pretty good job, and this drama is no exception as well. =)
He starts off as a rather successful CM director, but was eventually laid off due to the company’s decision. And at the same time, his spouse got an offer to re-enter the working society. This is how their roles get swapped and Abe ends up playing the role of a house husband. Lol. Being a prideful, traditional Japanese man, he believes that household chores and stuff should be left to the wife while the man should be out working, earning for the family.
With the roles totally reversed, and without any experience in running the household you can imagine the kind of difficulties he had to go through in the beginning. Lucky for him, he has a wonderful neighbour who happens to be a pretty good at-home dad. Most of the drama would see how Abe turns into a reliable at-home dad and eventually even gives up a chance to work overseas to further his career for the sake of his family. Of course, there are also other supporting roles who add in other elements into the show, in a way to prevent the drama from becoming too dull. =)
While it is a family drama, I think that it is quite nicely done, unlike some of the kinds of family dramas I see around locally. *Coughs*. A simple, but heartwarming show. =D
