The final installment to the Prince of Tennis series, the team finally reaches the final stage of the tournament and is facing off with the defending champions.
Well, you can expect to see the usual fare of Prince of Tennis as you have been seeing since the start of the anime adaptation, but of course with players becoming more and more powerful and dishing out even more formidable moves at each other in the final intense competition.
Echizen finally reaches the ultimate evolved state and becomes ultra imba (as one should have expected from the very start) and of course Seigaku wins the national tournament. If I am not mistaken (since I don’t read the manga), this is where the manga serialization ended too, so I suppose there won’t be any more PoT-related anime in the future.
Anyway, although sites such as ANN put it as the OVA having 7 episodes, the “first” episode is actually in the volume 0 of this series’ DVDs, so it is probably more appropriate that episode is treated as episode 0. That episode is pretty much a filler anyway.
Well, I suppose the journey of Prince of Tennis ends here and it’s time to move on to other sports anime! Lol, it has been a rather long journey though. =P
