With 1 JDrama adaptation and 2 Taiwan drama adaptations, there’s finally an anime adaptation of this manga. With so many other live-action adaptations prior to this and that they received somewhat good reception, this shouldn’t turn out too bad.

And indeed, I found it to be quite enjoyable, although sometimes I felt that it might probably be better watching the live-action. Haha, somehow the animation didn’t quite bring out the feel and atmosphere at certain areas. Yeah, i felt the overall animation isn’t that splendid as compared to many other series in the same season/airing period as this.

The entire story lasts for quite a number of years. It begins with them in high school and develops all the way until they got married with a daughter who’s at least 4. With that being said, quite a bit of time is spent on their high school/university days, as those parts form the more crucial and important parts of the couple’s relationship development etc. For a more detailed summary of each episode, here over to this wiki article to find out more.

What’s good about the show is that it comprises a good mixture of happy times, sad times, funny moments and touching moments. All those are the elements made the show an entertaining one, though I believe these things came from the original manga, so props to the manga =D What’s not so desirable about the show is the animation quality, which I’ve mentioned earlier. It was quite a disappointment actually. Haha, but oh wells perhaps it made me appreciate other aspects better. And oh, the scenes which involve English conversation is still quite weird, as with almost all other anime shows that try to integrate that.

Overall, this show is quite a nice watch, and I can sort of understand why the live-action adaptations are actually well-received.
