Another big production from the Phoenix Force team, and this time they do feature quite a variety of games from both SNK and Capcom. Sad to say, but many of those games I’ve never touched before/barely any knowledge about the system or I’ve never seen it until this video.
Unfortunately, for those parts of the video, I couldn’t really appreciate the combos, but can still enjoy the great music and editing while trying hard to learn something new out of it. Haha. When it came to games I had enough knowledge and understanding of came into view, wow, was I amazed!! Many, many interesting setups, occurrences and even some good utilisation of multiple bugs in 1 combo.
Editing wise, quite a lot of effort has been put into it, but the overall flow and feel is pretty well done. T.K’ is becoming a better editor with each production he takes on. Hope he’ll continue to stay around in the community to contribute more awesome editing. A slight imperfection would be some spelling errors here and there, but I’m not that particular on this because the editor probably doesn’t have English as his main language of communication.
Perhaps I’m biased, but I found many of nino’s combos to be top notch. He has really mastered quite a few trendy bugs and put them into creative and good use. Well done my friend! =) Of course, everyone else who participated in the movie have done well too!!
So you might have noticed that I’ve participated in this project as a guest (thanks for the invitation, Nino), but sadly the replay faced certain problems (from what I see in the final product) so it didn’t turn out the way it ought to have. I think it’s the only combo that faced playback problems in the entire video. Sheesh, doesn’t look good I suppose, but at least there’s even the flag of Singapore appearing in the video, which is unexpected. Haha, not like many locals (who play KOF) know of my existence anyway. Lalala~
Overall, I think it’s a great CMV worth watching, except that maybe some of the older (and maybe obscure) games might not appeal to you (it didn’t very much for me either). Go watch it if possible. =D
