The 12th movie in the series, it just shows how long this series has been around now. If I’m not wrong, the regular series is at 500++ eps now and there’s been many tv specials/OVAs over the years. Anyway, I previously found the standalone movies pretty good so here I am reviewing this after watching the latest installment.
Plot and story wise, the wiki article is pretty detailed with its descriptions of the events in the show. Then again, the words don’t really attract me to read them very much so I’ve only glanced through some of the paragraphs. I think watching the movie is probably more enjoyable although it almost takes up 2 hours, as opposed to you spending some minutes reading through the entire wiki article. Haha. Of course, it’s not especially complex or anything as usual, but I think it still has some elements that are quite nice. Hehe.
Anyway, judging based on the title alone, it is not surprising that this time, it involves music and songs. Most notably, there’s Amazing Grace being played for quite a long while. It’s nice definitely =D Although I think some parts of the singing isn’t very well synced with the animations and drawing, or maybe it’s just me interpretting the lip movements wrongly. Heh.
Overall, I think it’s another usual fare of Conan movies, which is imo quite relaxing to watch once in a while (actually once a year, since only 1 movie per year). See ya (Conan movie) next year! =)
