Right, so I’ve seen the trailers for this movie many times while waiting for other movies that I’ve watched in the past to start. The ability to “curve” the bullet’s trajectory and the exaggerated car stunts did rouse some interest in me, but sad to say, most of the cool scenes are already featured in the trailer. Lol!
Storyline wise, the wiki article has done quite a good job this time [see, it's a lot more detailed than the Hellboy 2 one. And this is kinda the average length you can expect] so I won’t be going much into it. Although I still think 6 weeks is kinda ridiculous for a totally untrained dude to become a good assassin even with the aid of some super recovery/regeneration formula that they can soak themselves in.
Action sequence wise, other than for some of the cool stuff already shown in the trailer, there’s still a few other slow-motion + curving done, although it ain’t all that much. For all the special ability that they have to curve bullets, very often there are actually gun shoot outs. Aren’t they supposed to curve bullets so crazily accurate that it’ll hit where they want? Also considering how good Wesley [and his father] is at sniping from such a far distance, I guess their “calculation” skills should be quite good as well. Ah well.
A lot of slow-motion effects are present in the show, and it can be a little irritating at times. Like it’s overused and makes it feel a little non-impactful and impressive. But once again, efforts must have gone into doing them, so I’ll just appreciate these efforts. Lol.
Oh as for why it’s rated NC16, there’s quite a bunch of F word used, as well as some other crude straightforward ways of saying things. Lol. Of course, there’s some showcase of violence like headshots and whatnot. So no surprise that it got its rating.
As for more things I’ve noticed, here are some of my comments [may not be in order of appearance in the movie]:
1) When Wesley goes back to retrieve the gun he left in the toilet bowl compartment [i dont know the exact term], it’s clear that the gun is wet and he puts it into a plastic bag. Fair enough. But later on when he’s forced to take it out of the bag, both the bag and gun looked pretty dry to me, with hardly any sign of moisture/water. The period of time is kinda short of both of them to dry, especially the insides of the plastic bag.
2) It’s nice to hear Fox’s story, but it seems that the scar supposedly left behind by her father’s killer only appeared during that scene. Either it’s a continuity error (both before and after that particular scene), or that’s just a made-up story to motivate Wesley. Heh.
3) Earlier in the movie, Wesley narrates that he requires an ergo-keyboard because he’s suffering from some stress condition. But when during the segment where he scolded his boss and took his keyboard to smash his colleague’s face, the keyboard’s clearly a normal [flat] type. Not ergo at all lor.

Overall, I think the movie falls short of my expectation. The way the movie ended was kinda unexpected though, or at least the way I found how the narration ended. Totally caught me off guard. Heh. My take: 6/10.
p.s. for those who are wondering, yea, Hancock is probably better.
