Okay, there’s quite a few good reviews on this movie, but I don’t seem to think it’s really -THAT- good. Certainly, it’s somewhat better than its prequel, but I still got pretty bored at certainly parts.
Well, this time, they include a fantasy element in it, and to me it hovers between promising and disappointing. Lol. You can even see that the wiki article isn’t even that detailedly written as compared to many other movies that I’ve reviewed. Probably because there’s only that much to include in it.
If anything, it has a few funny moments that seems to be more successful than the main story at times, though sometimes it’s also a little “cold”. Haha. Probably the funniest part would be when Hellboy gets whacked around by locker room doors. Lol. It also has some character developments for each of the important characters, but it isn’t that much if you look at individuals. At least there was an effort made. =X
Ok la, give them some credit for all the special effects and make up they have done. Must have been quite a big task to do all of it. Too bad I never stay for the credits to see how many of them were involved in it, not like I’d remember their names or how many there are after a while. Heh.
I don’t really agree that this movie is exceptionally good [or so I hear that reviewers typically gave it a good score]. Better than the prequel imo though. My take: 6/10. Do let me know if I’m missing out anything important.
