Ermz, before any of you think that this is going to be a review on 西游记, it isn’t. Lol. While technically Bukit Panjang isn’t exactly the west most part of the main island, from the perspective of my base home, it is in the west part mah. Hee hee.
Ok, enough of stupid lame comments. On to the type of entry that has been missing from my blog for quite some days now. Well, my life has been pretty much rather routine, so there isn’t very much to share about my life even though it’s a blog. Since today is something out of the norm, or rather I don’t want it to become a routine, I guess why not blog about it. Hee hee.
As you might (or maybe not) know, wk’s computer undergone some downtime (literally) since last friday (close to midnight of saturday) and zong’s initial diagnostic (I did make some intelligent guess but better leave to the expert) suggests that there is some memory related problem and should try to remove and put back a few pieces of hardware and hopefully that’s really the cause of the problem. Since he’s bogged down with AC as well as ICT over the next few days, I go make the trip down and hopefully it’s nothing more than that, which will mean I am able to handle. Hey, I at least can do simple things like those, hohum.
Ok, let’s see. I’m quite bad at writing such entries. Where do I start? Hmm, let’s see. I guess I should start from the bus journey itself. Since it’s been quite a while since I went that area, I’m not very confident as to which stop to get down (though eventually I realised I figured the correct bus stop anyway) so after some mini discussion, I decided to try my luck in getting the same bus (961) as wk as he’s taking from his workplace (after work duh).
I even went to the extent of asking for the bus plate even though given the timings of our bus journeys, the first 961 I see is probably going to be the right bus anyway. Turns out all the sms-es were kinda useless, but never mind I’ve got lots of spare SMS per month unutilised anyway. Even though there are a few more buses that can go to the same place, they just refuse to come, for god-knows-why reasons. Every other bus except 156 and the bus I took (151), all other buses that passes through the bukit timah (crown centre) route have came TWICE. Seriously, I don’t know what tricks the Powerful One were using back then. Ah wellz.
When the bus finally came, I saw that it’s actually quite crowded, and that was just the start of a rather unpleasant journey. At first I even thought that I couldn’t get up the bus, but luckily the people on the bus were generally quite co-operative, so I could get up the bus and still have somewhat sufficient space to stand without compromising the safety of others. I guess the crowd can’t help, seeing that it was around the kind of time office workers get off from work and start their journey back to home etc.
Nonetheless, I don’t quite like crowded buses. At least the people were generally nice and co-operative, moving towards the back of the bus without needing for any prompting, until the fateful bus stop. The bus stop at KAP. For those who take buses often enough during peak hours, you do know that whenever passengers try to get down, it’s going to be a bit slow, not to mention the time needed for the standing commuters to subsequently move to the back once they see that no one else is getting down at that stop. And so, this very “opportunistic” auntie (actually I dont wanna call her auntie as her behaviour brings shame) saw this empty space near the exit of the bus, due to a few people alighting and the entrance is still packed since people havent really started to fill up the gaps yet, and hopped up the bus through the exit!
Freaking hell (some censorship enforced here)!! Can’t she just wait for people to move the back and she enter through the entrance? But I think she just wants a free ride la, freaking hell. She even had the cheek to grumble (can’t make out what she said since i’m like 5-6 people’s distance away. Maybe wk’s entry will contain more explicit details (yes it does) since he was like just beside this toot. Anyway, the bus driver gave up trying to get this toot to go from the entrance and tap her card etc and decided to move on with life (and the bus journey) for the sake of the many other dozens of passengers on the bus.
Had a simple dinner (打包 from BPP kopitiam) before going on to fix wk’s com. Well, thankfully the problem seems to be a minor one and it’s back to pre-friday late night status as of now, even though there’s still a pre-existing problem which I don’t know how to fix. Haha, I guess I’ll have to leave to zong after his ICT ends (jiayou for ICT. start earlier ROD earlier). Well at least I did some good today! Accumulated some 德. Whee. Hohum.
Hmm, one final thing. I thought I should be nice and go to zong’s place to pass him my Nokia phone for his ICT (no cam mahz…) but turns out either no one bothered to respond to my 登门造访 or I really suay that none of his other family members were at home/awake at that time. Sighx, never mind, I guess I treat it as exercise bah. Zong’s coming over to take the phone as I’m typing this entry right now. Hehz.
Well, that’s one heck of a long-winded, boring and narrative entry covering something different that happened in my life apart from my usual routine of video clearing. Lol, I wonder if people really want more entries of this type rather than another random “review”. Lol.
p.s. to those having ICT now. jiayou!! i know it sux ._. and erm, don’t bash me for the lame title
