Looking at the poster, and the storyline of this movie, it’s not hard to imagine that the M18 rating is due to the violence. However, after watching this movie, I didn’t find it very violent, just that perhaps the bloodspill is a little graphic that’s all. Heh.
Though much of the cast and production crew were from 杀破狼, it’s essentially very different. Most notably, Sammo plays the boss of a triad gang this time round, instead of being in the police force. Haha. However, the style of the movie does have a feel from that of SPL. Whee.
The nicest part of the show, is actually towards the very end of the movie, where Wu Jing fights Sammo. Though it’s probably not comparable to Jet vs Jackie, at least it looks nice and all, and reminds people that Sammo can actually fight despite his size and build. Heh.
Story wise, it isn’t very much actually. At least the fight at the very end helped to make this movie look a little better. My take: 6/10
