As a part of remake of Hokuto no Ken into 5 parts, this part is focused on the character Toki. I’ve watched the first 2 parts, but missed out on the part before this one. Maybe I’ll catch up on it someday.

Anyway, I did watch the HnK series and this remake is definitely better in terms of details of drawing and animation. Also, some additional scenes are also included that were previously not in the anime series, to give the character more story and development that viewers couldn’t see during the TV series.

I think this series of remakes makes it easier for new viewers to get to know each of the main character in a quicker, and more organised manner as the parts are split into parts that focuses on 1 character and their part in the story (or certain arcs of it), and the important events and incidents that took place. What’s more, the reworked drawings will better appeal to new audiences who are already used higher quality drawings and animation as compared to the technology used back when HnK series was airing.

p.s. on a totally irrelevant side note, I’ve never tried the not-so-old HnK fighting game that’s said to be broken. heh!
