Well, my friend EY recommended this series to me, so I thought I’ll just check it out. After all, it has a 2nd adaptation [according to ANN and wiki] which aired a short while after this series ended its run late last year.

At the beginning of every episode, there’s a “disclaimer” that the viewer should not expect too much of the show since it’s about the boring everyday life of these 3 sisters. Certainly, this anime is of the slice of life genre, and focuses on some things that could happen in an everyday life, though of course with many things exaggerated on occasions.

The overall feel is that it’s actually quite hilarious, and makes parodies out of quite a few things which I could recognise, and possibly others which I can’t. Spotting references can be quite a fun thing to do =P However, I feel that it is better if anime of such genre is spread out when watching, instead of going for a spree/rampage to finish the series. Probably because the comedic value will be diminishing with every additional episode watched (wah sounds very econs leh. mehz).

Since there was a christmas themed (to kinda suit the timing of the airing) episode somewhere in the series, I wonder if the 2nd adaptation will be vastly different in terms of the things presented. Perhaps I’ll check it out someday, and comment about that when the time comes.
