Although this anime only has 52 episodes which usually takes a year to finish its airing, this anime actually took some 16 months to wrap up everything. It’s mainly due to some breaks in between where it would stop airing for 2 weeks, or even a month. I have no idea why it took such “breaks” though.

The anime follows Yoshimori’s (the guy who’s most prominent in the picture) growth as a Kekkaishi and the adventures (think happenings might be a better word). Tokine also helps out in their daily job of guarding this “sacred place”. Each of them belong to different type of user (you can pretty much guess) and how they complement each other in times of need and emergency.

What seemed to be promising at the beginning didn’t quite develop the way I thought it could have. I initially thought there’s some kind of proper storyline for this show, but it turns out the impact is nowhere near to what I had expected, and in fact, I found it a little lame and stupid. The way the story progressed anyway. Wonder if the TV series deviates from the manga. I got quite disappointed as the show approached nearer to its end.

Also, there are quite a few major plot holes/errors in the show, which I am sure many of the viewers of this series would have been able to spot quite easily. I guess it’s the kind of anime stereotypical scenarios, just that it seems a little worse, especially when the story development took for its worse.

Hmm, being another anime aired in HD, of course viewers can enjoy all the beauty and details of the artwork and colouring. =D Well, anime nowadays are in HD so often it’s like the norm. Where’s the full HD channel in SG? Lalala. If there’s 1 thing I like about the show, it would be the effects and graphics of the barrier (kekkai) itself. Quite cool lehz, too bad the main character didn’t get to learn the multi-layer “single cast” that his older brother showed off quite a bit during the show. I thought that technique is quite chio. Haha.

Overall, I somehow think that this anime is better in its first half, but it’s quite stupid to just watch the front part and leave out the end. Oh well, for those who have watched it, tell me whether you would recommend this. I probably wouldn’t since the the way the story developed and ended was a bit too much for me to take.

eh i also abit disappointed by the developments (omg so it became a showdown btwn yoshimori and that er…forgot his name, the guy tt killed the… er…also forgot his name lol). and just like that, the kokuboro arc suddenly became unimportant le…reminds me of kaze no stigma, altho this is way better than that in the development.

also i think it deviated quite alot from the manga…u’ll have to check wif yac and clarence.

but i think i wld recommend in the end, on basis of its strong graphics and rather interesting spells/monsters. the development was going fine too as u pointed out, b4 the kokuboro arc.

haha i don’t really care about how the manga progressed. i will probably never get to reading it (as with many other anime series that don’t end anywhere near the manga did).

as for your wordpress problem, I don’t know anyone else facing that. Shrugs…
