CNY Eve

Gone are the days where CNY eve is a half-day. Even during NS days, it was somewhat a half day and a relaxing day at work, since the majority are still Chinese anyway. Well, I did have 1 lecture cancelled, probably to make the lecturer’s life easier in co-ordinating the content he has covered since the other group of lectures are both on thursday/friday. But oh well, just happens during that time slot I have a make-up tutorial for 2301.

Oh, I also had my eg tutorial cancelled, but end up got java clinic (which turned out to be not that useful anyway. props to jon for the wise choice in ponning). Haha, everything just fell into place like that. Certainly, today is definitely one of the eves of CNY that’s not really a festive mood, even worse than army days. I wonder why. Is it because of the work that can’t be put aside anyway (by right that is), or it’s simply because the feeling of CNY is kinda lost in the present day and age? Ah wells, I think I should be ending up doing what I do best during this long weekend, which is slack! Hahaha, ok la, Friday will go collect 红包s and have a family gathering =D

Of the 3 major Chinese movies opening for this festive season, so far I’ve heard nothing but negative reviews for Jack Neo’s latest production. At least Jay and Stephen’s movies have some sort of mixed reviews, which is normally the kind of response you get from movies of that genre. If I ever get myself into the cinema theatres in the near future, I probably would be watching CJ7 first. Haha. See how lah, don’t like to go watch movies alone.

Think I’ll be off watching some show while preparing to execute operation 守岁, which won’t start until maybe a few hours later. Hope I can accomplish it this year too. Anyone joining me in this operation? =D
