The 2nd part of this “trilogy” continues, with Hyper Street Fight 2 - Anniversary Edition this time around. Once again, I’m very grateful that KOFIA has provided this awesome stuff. Another game with its tournament held in teams of 2 players, and the rules would be similar to that of Melty Blood, in terms of winning conditions etc. Lazy to repeat it here. Haha.
Well, somehow there’s only 1 video that covers top32-winner in about 2.25 hours of footage, including the semis/finalists “short speech” before they face off. So yeah it’s kinda short.
For such an old game, I must say that the way these folks battle each other can be a little scary. Loads of precise hitbox hitting/harrassing, and of course combos start are damaging and devastating by the game’s standard.
However, there are also boring matches especially those involing 2 Guiles. Sonic boom, sonic boom, sonic boom, and it goes on and on… Oh well, maybe that’s the “right” way to play Guile. Sighx, towards the end it’s more exciting though, with nice mental games and “abuse”. Hehe.
Volume 9 would be on KOF98, and it’s for sure I’ll be posting about that one! Whee…
