Ah, after watching this, I realised the timeline happens after the TV Special (which I haven’t watched). Kinda able to deduce that there’s something in the TV special to link up the stories because there were clues here and there in the movie.

However, that does not mean there’s a need to watch the SP nor the series since it’s not really that crucial in understanding the gist of this movie. Certainly, it’ll be better to have watched the series proper (I’m still waiting for the SP. heh.) since you’ll get to know some of the characters that appear in this movie, as well as a little about their background that occurred back then.

The movie still somewhat preserves the way the drama has been put through to viewers, with a more movie style as opposed to their drama style (hmm, sounds like 废话). It’s rather hard to describe the movie, but in short a couple of incidents plus the hijacking of a Police Hospital (is hijack the right word?) lead to a supposedly complex web of matters. Well, in the end a bio-terror attack was prevented and it almost ends well, except that another officer is killed because he knows too much about the internal corruption of the Police Department, especially those involving the higher ups. It is unknown who the sniper is (never even show the frame of the person, much less the face), so it is still possible to have a sequel (drama? movie? shrugs) if they intend to solve this case. Haha, but seriously it seems as though the real opponent is so huge and powerful you don’t even know where to start investigating from.

Well, I’ll just like to point out a few “mistakes” that I seem to find fault with, haha. Let’s see, first up would be that the bodies of the killed SAT (Special Assault Team) members sometimes disappeared even though they were supposed to die at those spots in an earlier scene but a later scene shows the place clear of bodies and bloodstains etc. I don’t think the hijackers are so free to clean up the mess so nicely. Hahaha. Then, the biochemical suit was rather easily torn by some edge of a cupboard/some storage thing. I’d think a biochemical suit ought to be tougher than that isn’t it. I think even the normal army uniform is more durable than that. Lol. Next would be in the ending scene, the dying officer with his hand much soaked in blood was grasping a thumbdrive and passing to the female lead, and the best part is the thumbdrive doesn’t have its cap on and it’s clearly seen that it’s quite soaked in blood. I don’t think the data which contains the vital info will be very much accessible, unless thumbdrives are liquidproof. Heh. Ya, I think that’s about it since I’m too lazy to analyse and recall any further.

Hmm, looking at this movie overall, it’s pretty much not as complicated as it seems while it’s going on, but at least they’ve done a somewhat good job in making guess who’s the one pulling the strings in some parts of the movie. Haha. My take: 6/10. Hopefully the next time they continue on this series, there will be a proper conclusion and end to the story.

you are wrong about the thumbdrive. 2 years ago, i recalled accidentally throwing a pant into washing machine and after drying it, it still working perfectly till now.
