This 26 episode anime is the kind that’s more light-hearted, a little ecchi (well, nothing much one la…), and kinda funny at times. The wiki article has a plot summary and also episode summary. Whoever did the episode summary must be quite a fan, since many wiki articles on anime series often do not have a complete episode summary guide up on the article, at least at the point of time when I’m linking to it while writing my reviews. Haha.
All right, so our male lead is cast-away to an unknown island. Much to his surprise (delight?), he’s the only male on the island. Lol, some of you might even know where it’s headed liao. Yeah well, sure there are many scenes of gals going crazy over him because they’ve never seen/touch/talk to a guy before. Lolz… Sometimes it’s quite funny, though often it’s very much dedicated as some sort of fan service.
Anyway, most of the episodes are quite standalone and some episodes even have 2 “mini-stories” in them, so no worries if you miss an episode or two. Not much loss in terms of overall storyline, though starting few episodes are kinda helpful in letting you to get to know more about the female characters, and the island. Yeah, so if you’re looking for solid storyline or something, this isn’t quite for you. =D
As usual, anime aired in 720P are nice. Hehe, though 1080i is like not unusual anymore. The drawing’s pretty good. Lol. I’m seriously quite biased when it comes to 720p resolution anime. Not that much music used, but generally they are quite suitable for the show.
Well, being a pretty much episodic anime, when it’s time to end, some things have to be forced to set it in the direction of an ending. In the end our dear main lead gets the chance to get out of this female populated Airantou to meet his sister, only to find out there’s another male populated Airantou somewhere else. Yeah, they have the same name only the dominant human gender is different. Lol. I guess he made a wise choice of going back to the female populated one instead of joining his sister. =P But their parents must be really sad. Both children out somewhere in the world cut off from civilisation. Not exactly very good in educating of family moral values. Hahaha, ok I’m crapping. Ignore the last couple of lines.
Overall, pretty nice anime which has its share of funny stuff though it’s sometimes very predictable (maybe I watch too much anime) or too exaggerated. Not bad as a form of relaxation, but don’t watch this for a strong storyline and stuff like that.
