Hah, what did I say about watching movies now that exams are over. Anyway, I’ve been kinda wanting to watch this since I saw the trailer. Looked like the type entertaining and relaxing, while the mix of animation + live-action seems to be something that’s not seen often.

Well indeed, the show begins in an animated form, Disney style. It’ll be a while before it moves over to the real world, which of course would feature real people and places. Funny things happen when simple minded cartoon characters meet the “complex” world of ours, and of course not knowing how things work around here. Of course they do retain most of their cartoonish characteristics which makes things funny at times too. Haha.

There are quite a few songs in the show, as you would expect if you’re watching a Disney animation. Some of them are pretty nice imo, and certainly adds marks to the movie. =) The music’s pretty nice too.

There are also many references to other fairy tales that appeared throughout the entire movie, but obviously I don’t really recall my Disney films that I’ve watched years and years ago, but the wiki article sure has spotted a lot. Well, that’s what wiki is for right? =D Anyway if you’re intending to read the wiki article and dont want (too much) spoilers you should know which sections to skip =P

As for mistakes, I’d really want to say the cloth that she cut out shouldn’t be able to that nice and fitting. Heck, she can sew really fast too ^^; Didn’t stare hard enough to see if it’s the same material/pattern design as the place she supposedly cut them off from. Heh. Picky eh? =P

Didn’t quite like the ending. The witch (dragon) is so weak. :P Dragons ought to be stronger than that I believe. Hahaha.

An enjoyable movie. My take: 6.5/10
