This has to be one of the biggest news in the fighting game scene in recent times, so even though I’m not really into this series of games, I can’t afford to leave this out.
I did remember Capcom once announced that it would withdraw from the fighting game scene, much to the disappointment of many fans worldwide, especially those Street Fighter (SF) players. SF3.3rd strike was a huge success, and is still popular today, at least we still see tournaments with this game title as part of the several games as various more recognised tournaments (when it comes to fighting games).
There also have been rumours in the past talking about SF4, but all of them previously have been dismissed as being fake, or just nothing more than just rumours. Finally, many fans around the world will rejoice today, with the official release of SF4 trailer.
I’ve watched the trailer (isn’t long). I suggest you watch it from the Official Site, rather than YouTube. Better quality, bigger resolution and it does seem much better than the YouTube counterpart. But for the sake of the lazy bums who can’t even click a few times, I’ll put it below, at the end of the entry anyway. You guys can contribute to the viewcount of the video, and probably make it video of the day/week. Hehz.
Well, the trailer doesn’t show much in terms of the gameplay, or what to expect of the latest addition to the series. Basically, everything else is still a question mark. Will it be in 2D or 3D? What unique fighting system features will be in store for players? Who will be in the character roster? Only certain thing for now would be that SF fans can look forward to a brand new game to play, research and break some time in the future.
For now, just try to bear with just having a picture and a 80 second trailer. I’m sure more information and media will be released over the next few days/weeks/months. Enjoy, and be patient. =)
